For National Stalking Awareness Week, the University of Law are supporting two projects:

  • FREE 30 minute training (5 session options available in April) - This active bystander intervention training is designed to empower delegates to be active bystanders when they see harassment taking place, without putting their own personal safety at risk. - Sign up here: Suzy Lamplugh Stand Up Against Harassment Training – Fill in form
  • The launch of our brand new poster campaign! (From 20th April onwards) **Watch this space** for our posters on campus and let us know what you think by emailing: safeandinclusivecampus@law.ac.uk

The University of Law is supporting Stalking Awareness Week further by sharing reminders of ways to stay safe on/around campus.

While we all work to ensure our campuses are safe places, it’s reassuring to know you can quickly and easily summon help if you ever need it. That’s why the university and many of its partners provides our students with free access to the SafeZone app.

SafeZone’s key features enable users to quickly and easily contact their local Security team:

  • in emergencies: meaning they can discreetly summon support if they feel their personal safety, or that of someone else, is threatened.
  • for help in non-urgent situations (for example, if they have been the victim of a crime or have witnessed a crime, or want to report suspicious behaviour, unattended or suspicious packages, vandalism or damaged property)
  • for first aid, if they, or someone else nearby, need medical assistance.

SafeZone is simple to use and free to download via the App Store and Google Play.
