This is a referral form for the Sexual Violence Liaison Officer Service at the University of Law. The SVLO service operates Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. If you require urgent in-the moment advice please contact Rape Crisis 24/7 Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Line on 0808 500 2222.
This form will be allocated to the SVLO team. We accept both self-referrals and referrals on behalf of ULaw students and staff and endeavour to respond within 2 working days. We will only accept referrals for those who have agreed to attend and who are aware that the referral has been made.
Please note:
- The SVLO role is not to investigate, and no full disclosure is required in order to access support.
- This service is confidential, which means all information is confined within the SVLO team and other internal support services on a need-to-know basis. However, in some rare situations, we may need to break confidentiality such as when someone is at risk of harm or if there is safeguarding concern. We would notify you if this was to happen. - Notes are taken by SVLOs of all meetings. Please be mindful that the Police and criminal courts can request copies of these notes. We cannot refuse court requests.
