National Personal Safety Day, launched by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, is an annual event aimed at raising awareness of everyday harassment and recommending solutions to help reduce violence, aggression and abuse in our society. It’s about helping people live safer, more confident lives. This year the focus will be on travelling safely - ‘Get Home Safely’.
During this week we will be raising awareness of the University's personal safety guidelines and highlighting key guidance via our ULaw Wellbeing App (students & staff can download our Wellbeing app for free today, via the Apple Store and Google Play Store)
Stand Up Against Street Harassment
Ensuring personal safety is also a collective responsibility. This year, as part of the campaign, the University is hosting an Active Bystander session to encourage students and staff to recognize and safely intervene when they witness street harassment. The session aims to foster a proactive and supportive community by equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to make a positive impact.
